Instrument Makers Exhibition

Instrument Makers Exhibition Saturday 29 October and Sunday 30 October, 2022

A popular feature of the Festival, the Musical Instrument Makers Exhibition, provides an ideal forum for makers of hand-crafted musical instruments to exhibit and to share their knowledge and skills with performers, patrons and their peers. Instrument makers are invited to apply for exhibition space. Details below.

Once again the Instrument Makers Exhibition will be held in Maldon CFA engine bay, High Street, Maldon.

Successful applicants will be provided with an adult festival ticket + one additional adult festival ticket for a co-exhibitor / assistant / partner. There is free camping at Mt Tarrangower with a free shuttle all weekend, if required. Each exhibitor will be asked to contribute $10 towards covering costs.

Exhibition hours are 10.00 am to 5.00 pm Saturday & Sunday. Exhibitors will have access to the venue for set-up from 8.30 am Saturday and trestle tables will be provided.

Expressions of Interest to Exhibit Instruments at the 2022 Maldon Folk Festival must be submitted by the 1st September 2022, so we can reserve your space and ensure that your details appear in the Festival Program. Please supply a brief biography (maximum 100 words).

Due to space limitations, we may not be able to accept all applicants, but makers who don’t get a spot this year will be considered for future years.

Maldonite Jill Findlay will coordinate the Exhibition again in 2022 with the help of Andy Rigby.
